Is this right for you?

An honest answer before you book

Acupuncture works best with a few weeks of steady treatment. Here is who we can help most, and when another option makes more sense.

A good fit if you

  • Have pain, tension or stress that keeps coming back
  • Want a drug-free approach that works alongside your doctor's care
  • Can come to West 45th Street about once a week for 4–8 weeks
  • Are comfortable paying at the visit and submitting a superbill to your insurer

Probably not the right fit if you

  • Have new, severe or sudden symptoms. Call 911 or see a doctor first.
  • Need in-network coverage with only a copay
  • Expect a lasting result from a single session
  • Can't get to Midtown Manhattan regularly

Questions

What people ask first

All questions, pricing and insurance
Does acupuncture hurt?

Most people feel a light tap or nothing at all. The needles are about as thin as a hair. You may feel warmth, tingling or a dull heaviness around a point, which usually fades into deep relaxation.

How many sessions will I need?

Recent problems often improve in 3–6 visits. Pain or stress that has lasted months usually takes 6–10. You get a specific estimate at your first visit.

Do you take insurance?

We are out-of-network. You pay at the visit and we give you a superbill to submit. Many PPO plans reimburse part of the cost, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

Where is the office?

25 W 45th St, Suite 507, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues: one block from Bryant Park and a six-minute walk from Grand Central.
